About

  • I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California with a family of educators.

  • Attended The University of Arizona for my undergraduate studies where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Sports and Society which focussed on teaching young adults through physical education.

  • Immediately after college I began working as a PE teacher for children in 1st-6th grade.

  • Following that I began working at a high school in Pasadena, CA as a freshman health teacher, football, and softball coach.

  • During my time at the high school, I began my journey at Michigan State University enrolling in the Master of Arts in Education program(MAED).

  • After 5 years at the high school, I recently decided to make a career change into the restaurant field.

  • I am now a manager/trainer for a chain of restaurants here in Southern California where I get to combine my love for cooking and teaching all in the same place.

  • I continue to give the same passion in my new workplace and love growing with my team on a daily basis.

  • My daily challenge is to find the best way to motivate a group of people who all have a common goal and determining the best way to reach that goal.

  • This portfolio will showcase some of my work from the MAED program as well as discuss some of my other teaching philosophies.
